What kind of Business Photos do I need?

If you've never asked yourself this question, well… now it's time to do so. In this incredibly fast-paced digital era, most of businesses and business people at certain point need high quality pictures to represent them.

As a Professional Photographer, I spend an essential part of the consultation asking my clients about their businesses in order to understand  exactly what type of content they need and identify their unique style.

There are different types of photographs you might need for you and your business, depending on where and how you want to use them.

1 . BUSINESS HEADSHOTS

By definition, a Headshot is business portrait of an individual representing him/her as professionist. You can use it on your LinkedIn profile, Curriculum, Job Application, Business cards, Website… As for every personal portraiture, also for Business Headshots we have to think of the style (formal/informal, elegant/avantguard/fashionable,) and the values you want to embrace visually (reliability, creativity, energetic and positive outlook…). You have a possibility to choose whether you prefer studio or on-location shots directly at your business place (office, building, fitness, studio, atelier…). If we shoot in my studio in Starnberg, there is a possibility to choose from different backdrops and in case of interest use the service of our professional Make-up artist. Your pictures of choice will be edited and there is a possibility to require different crops (square, horizontal/vertical, round), your logo placement, or other modifications in order to make it meet perfectly your specific needs.

Above you can see some of my recent Business Headshots.

2 . LIFESTYLE BUSINESS PORTRAITS

While Headshots are usually more traditional bust close-up portraits, Lifestyle Business Portrait place can express a little more of your unique style & personality using less formal posing and more of  “I'm working” or “this is me” style. You can incorporate some props you normally work with or that represents you.

3 . TEAMS AND BUSINESS PARTNERS

If you have a team of employees or a business partner, besides your personal Headshots, group photographs are always a good idea to have on hand as well!

Your potential clients, collaborators  and other businesses are curious to see who they will be working with or buying from, and having professional images of your company can help with that. These photos are often used on your company materials (journals, catalogues…), on your website on “about pages”, social media, or for press and media,

4 .BUSINESS LOCATION PHOTOS

When I shoot on-location headshots, traveling to your business place with my equipment, it's always good to evaluate if you might need also some shots of your office/building/studio/salon/atelier/ambulatory/restaurant/bar….This type of business pictures show off the environment and the atmosphere which your products or services are created or sold in.

5 . PRODUCT AND SERVICE PHOTOS

Photos highlighting your products or services are a basic must for your business catalogues, website, social media… Depending on the type of your business, you might need to update this shots regularly and quite often. There is a whole new world when we start talking about product and service photography and I`m specialized in Business Portraits, but when we talk about the types of photographs you might need for your business, this is definitely of of them. You can opt for ultra-styled or in contrary minimal-style images, product-only or ambient images, depending on what best represents your overall brand identity.

6. BEHIND THE SCENES PHOTOS

BTS photos material especially for your social media channels. They slightly unveil how it looks like in the process of producing/working and it can help you to tell your story. Through these images you take people exclusively behind the scenes.

I often share this type of content personally for my own business in order to help my potential clients imagine what the experience of a photoshoot in my studio feels like.
