Meet Tanja

Meet Tanja, a remarkable 43-year-old single mother living in Dachau with her two wonderful children and their dog, Rocky. Her son, Niclas, is 12, and her daughter, Valentina, is six.

In 2019, tragedy struck when Tanja's husband passed away in a bicycle accident. Her son was just six, and her daughter a mere six months old. In an instant, their lives were irrevocably changed.

Yet, from this profound loss, a powerful bond of strength emerged between Tanja and her children. The journey of healing and rebuilding their lives was challenging and took time, but together, they navigated the unimaginable.

Tanja discovered an inner resilience she never knew she possessed, realizing that life had, in its own way, prepared her to step up and face the unimaginable. As she wisely states, "You are much stronger than you think when it's the only option you have."

While the scars of that time remain, Tanja finds that each day brings a little more healing, and life continues to unfold. She has also opened her heart to a new relationship, one that feels full of promise. Having experienced life's fragility firsthand, Tanja now embraces each day with a deeper sense of appreciation.

With a background in information systems and business management, Tanja has built a successful career at BMW. Her heartfelt advice to her younger self is a powerful message of hope: "Never give up; there are better days to come."
