How long are the Glamour sessions? +
The Glamour sessions start with a makeup session, which lasts around an hour. The photoshoot follows directly afterwards and lasts 2-3 hours.
How do I know how to pose? +
Don’t worry at all about the poses, we´re experts who know all the tricks to create the most flattering angles for you, no matter what your shape or size.
I’m not a model – I need to loose weigh - can I still look glamorous ? +
Absolutely! Trust me! Do not worry if you feel non-photogenic or you should still loose some kilos (even the skinniest of my friends says that constantly:-) or your think you are too old, have too many wrinkles or your hair is not as you want it. I got it all covered with my knowledge how to pose you and make you at ease in front of the camera. I know that every woman is beautiful, feminine and sexy! Often the more curves the better for photos. You will be guided by me as to which style of clothes to wear, hair and make up will make you shine and We will pose you in positions that make you feminine and stunning. If you have any specific concerns, please contact us in advance of your photo shoot to discuss them.
Do you provide the wardrobe of clothes? +
We have a wardrobe of clothes, but many clients prefer to choose some of their favorite outfits and bring them along to the session. If you would like to have some help choosing an outfit, We can definitely make some suggestions. You will automatically receive Charlotte’s complimentary Styling guide (as well as a 3 week before beauty guide) which states all you need to know about wardrobe and where to get it. This includes my Style Guide, Beauty Guide and Product guide. In this you will have a vast variety of things to think about before the shoot. The Alfa and Omega is preparation. I will give you links where to rent a dress or purchase some for a super price. you have trouble locating one.Wehave dresses, tops, skirts, and pieces of fabric. Please bring your own black, white or neutral underwear.
Do your packages include hair and makeup? +
We always recommend to put emphasis on Hair and Make up. We therefore offer packages with complimentary hair and makeup. These sessions are available for booking in advance of the day of your photo shoot.
How many outfits will I wear during my glamour & luxury session? +
For our sessions, We suggest two to three different outfits and any props you may want to incorporate. Some useful props to bring along to the session are scarves, wraps and jewelry. If you need help choosing props, Charlotte will be very happy to advise you.
Do you do touchups? +
Yes, we’ll do complete retouching of all your purchased portraits.
I'm really nervous. Is that normal? +
It is definitely normal to be nervous in advance of your glamour & luxury session, so don't worry. Most of our clients are nervous until the session has started, but then you´ll begin to relax and enjoy yourself!
I want to share these pictures with all my loved ones, but I don’t want to have loose prints floating around. Any ideas for the best gift? +
This is a normal concern, that We have totally anticipated. You will receive matted prints in a heirloom folio box lined with silk. You can order the Studio's signature Albums to keep all of your images safely in one place.
Can I bring my own camera and take photos or have a friend come along to take photos? +
This isn´t possible. Cameras other than the photographer’s camera are not allowed on the set.
When do I pay for the session? +
Your scheduled date and time will be confirmed and reserved for you once payment of the session fee is confirmed. The session fee is non-refundable in the event that you have to cancel your portrait session.
Do your prices include tax?
My pricelist is currently plus VAT.
I’m not a model – are glamour & luxury photos still flattering even if my body isn’t perfect? +
Absolutely! Every woman is beautiful, feminine and sexy! If you have any specific concerns, please contact us in advance of your photo shoot to discuss them.
Do you provide a contract to read and sign? +
Yes. Before confirming your date, you are required to sign the contract.
Do you share your clients’ personal data? +
Your personal data is 100% secure and it will never be shared with anyone else.
Who owns the rights? +
Starupphoto owns the copyright of all images and reserves the right to use images created under this contract for advertising, display, publication, trade, competition or vendor recognition or other purposes. Your names and personal information will never be revealed. Digital files and previews remain the exclusive property of Starupphoto.
Do you make photo albums? +
I make beautiful state of the art album in many sizes and with contemporary covers.
When do I pay for the session? +
Only upon payment of session fee your scheduled date will be confirmed and reserved for you. The session fee is non-refundable in the event that you must cancel your portrait session.
Do travel fees apply for locations in Munich? +
There is no extra fee for on-location shoot within a range of 20km. of Starnberg.
Do you travel to other cities or countries for photo sessions?
Yes, WEhave travelled to London, Istanbul, Copenhagen and Milan in the past for on-location photo shoots. Please contact me for an offer in the location of your choice.
Which additional fees apply? +
There are additional fees for families of more than five and on-location studio lights.
If one of us is ill, can We re-schedule? +
We do allow a one-time rescheduling of your shoot, to take place within 30 days of your original session date. Please let us know as soon as possible (at least 14 days before your session) if you do need to reschedule and in this case We can make your date available to other customers.
If I cancel the session, will I receive the deposit back? +
Upon payment of the session fee your scheduled date will be confirmed and reserved for you. The session fee is non-refundable in the event that you must cancel your portrait session.
How do I book my session? +

Who owns the copyright of the photos? +
You own the copyright of all the photos you purchase.

What does Charlotte Starup Photograhy use the photos for? +
Your photos may be used for marketing purposes on our website and occasionally for competition purposes.
Do you do touchups? +
Yes, all my images get my signature complete retouching.
Do you offer prints and products in frames and for wall decoration? +
WEhave a large range of print products which is tailored to each clients needs. There has not been a product yet I could not deliver.
Do you make photo albums? +
Yes. We have a wider range of beautiful state of the art albums with a choice of contemporary album covers in many sizes.
Do you sell your images for Stock photos? +
No. I never sell photos to Stock Images.
Do you edit all the images in our gallery? +
All purchased images will be print edited.
What rights do I have to the digital files? +
You will be given print rights for personal use of all of your purchased images. This means you can print copies of your portraits up to the same size purchased, but you do not have the right to sell or publish them without Starupphoto’s permission. It is illegal to copy, scan, print screen or reproduce these photographs elsewhere without Starupphoto’s permission. We request you please respect this law.
Do you provide the RAW files from my session? +
No. We never deliver RAW files.
Will I be able to upload the photos on my own social media accounts? +
Yes, you will be able to upload all purchased photos to social media.
Are the photos I receive of the highest quality? +
Photos purchased will be delivered in High Resolution apart from when it is specifically stated differently e.g for headshots. Headshot session photos will be delivered in low resolution.
How many photos will there be in my gallery for me to choose from? +
You will usually see 30 images from a glamour & luxury shoot and 40-60 images from a family shoot.
How long will I have to choose the photos from my gallery? +
We do not do galleries. You will be invited to a private consultation with Charlotte once the photos are ready. Typically, this will be around 14 days after the photo shoot. At the consultation Charlotte will help you design your products and choose the very best ones for your requirements and budget. Our customers find that the consultation saves them a lot of time when they are choosing which photos and products to purchase.
Do you deliver all the photos you shoot? +
Usually, We choose the best 35 images from a glamour & luxury shoot and the best 40-60 images from a family shoot. I beauty edit very carefully each photo from the glamour & luxury shoot with my signature editing style and for the family photos I pre edit slightly prior to the consultation and finish edit only the ones you purchase.
What is your photography style? +
We shoot authentic moments in bright, clear colors. We love to bring out my subject’s natural beautiful smile and the shining sparkle in their eyes.
What is your client-service philosophy? +
My aim is to serve every client in an honest and direct way without any hidden agendas. My service philosophy is to make all clients happy with their photos and We make an effort to understand what they are looking for and how they dream of being photographed.
Do you provide outfits for fashion portrait sessions? +
Yes, We do! You are welcome to wear your own outfits, but We can also give you a few items. We have dresses, tops, skirts, and pieces of fabric. Please bring your own underwear in black, white and neutral!
How long are the sessions? +
A session is typically one hour plus for make up and 2-3 hours photo shooting.
Who owns the copyright of the photos? +
You own the right to print all the photos you purchase.
I'm really nervous. Is that normal? +
It’s definitely normal to be nervous before your glamour & luxury session, so don't worry. Most of our clients are nervous beforehand, but they relax when the session gets started. After it starts, you’ll begin to loosen up.
How do I know how to pose? +
Don’t worry about posing. We've totally got you covered in that department! We know all the tricks to create the most flattering angles for you, no matter what shape or size you are.
Do your packages include hair and makeup? +
We do offer packages with complimentary hairstyling and makeup by a professional MUA.
Do you provide the wardrobe? +
We have a wardrobe, but would prefer if you also pick out and bring some pieces along yourself. If you need help choosing an outfit, We can definitely give you some suggestions, though.
I want share these pictures with all my loved ones but I don’t loose prints floating around. Any ideas for the best gift? +
This is a very common concern and We totally understand. That’s why our prints come in a beautiful folio box with lined with silk. In addition, We recommend placing an order for our little discreet black book in which you can keep all of your images in one place. We also have for sale accordion albums and prints as well. For more information on these products, just ask.
Am I allowed to bring alcohol to help loosen my nerves? +
As long as you're over 18, that’s totally fine with us. We do offer champagne or wine at your session as your wish.
