WHAT TO EXPECT:
FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSIONS

Dear Client,

I am thrilled that you are interested in Charlotte Starup Photography and might invest in my skills, time, experience and talent. It is important that you make the right choice when choosing the photographer to make your most unique and unrepeatable moments of your special life events into precious and timeless memories.
Before moving on, I would like to take a moment to give you an overview of what you can expect from my services.

For me it is all about my client - YOU and YOUR family.  I want to discover your needs and desires in order to custom design a photo shoot for you, in turn resulting in custom images that are representative of who you are and what you want.

In our initial pre-consultation on the phone or by email we will narrow down what it is you’re looking for during and after the photoshoot, be it an on location shoot or one in a studio, images for your Christmas card, a stunning wall art print or canvas for above your couch, prints as a gift for a loved one or an album as a yearly record of your family. It is important that I understand what you are drawn to and all of your ideas for your photo shoot. Don’t worry if you don’t know exactly what you want, I will ask guiding questions so we create the results you are looking for.

Once you have signed the contract agreement and paid the initial retainer, the date is officially reserved. All other inquiries for your date are turned away.  Based on our conversation, I will advise you which outfits to bring along and walk you through the plan of the day.  You will receive a preparation guide and I am here for you if you would like to discuss your ideas for possible locations and props or anything else about your photos or the final product.

Your actual session is a relaxed, fun photo shoot with no time constraints lasting approximately two hours – and longer if necessary (unless you booked a limited studio session). During the shoot we’ll take breaks for all involved as required and this is especially important for children who might need a snack or to relax for a while. Variety is the spice of life, so during your shoot there’s no limit to the number of locations, poses or clothing changes that are possible! I’m as happy shooting in a field or urban location as I am in your home!

After 3-4 weeks you’ll receive a link to your custom “webshow”, a slideshow set to music. This will be available for a couple of days leading up to your booked ordering consultation. I will have hand selected just the best images and each one of them will have been given my signature retouch. During our informal ordering consultation, we’ll look at your pictures together, one at a time, and decide what will work best for your needs. Come prepared with creditcard or cash on the day of your ordering session as payment before production of the final product is a studio policy.

Finally, once your order has been delivered to my studio, it will be submitted to a meticulous quality assurance check followed by careful packaging and then it will either be hand delivered to you or it will be available for your pickup if you prefer.

My goal is always to provide you with a memorable experience resulting in the highest quality heirloom images, which will outlive you and be handed down to the next generation. There is never a better time to have your photographs taken than now. Children deserve to see photos of themselves as they will not remember the small details when they grow up.

Beyond this, I am committed to your photo shoot being a relaxing, fun and stress-free, experience that you will look back on in the future with pleasure!
